Conference topics
The conference will address five main topics. For each topic, distinguished Plenary Lectures will be given by industrial and academic experts:
- Topic 1: Dynamic modelling and optimal design of composites:
- Topic 2: Acoustic transmission:
- Topic 3: Dynamic control of composites:
- Topic 4: Wave monitoring for default detection :
- Topic 5: Perspectives in terms of certification and validation:
Key lectures: M. Hamdi (ESI/UTC, France) and O. Allaire (Ecole Polytechnique, France)
Topic will address: Broadband dynamic modeling of composite structures, shock propagation (low and mid frequencies, high and mid frequencies), composite structures response in frequency domain.
Key lectures: A. Peiffer (EADS IW, Germany)/ K. Renger (Airbus, Germany) and N. Atalla (Sherbrooke University, Canada)
Topic will address: Radiation and acoustic transmission of the composite structures (fluid/structure interaction, anisotropic character of the structures, inhomogeneous aspects)
Key lectures: P. Rauch/F. Marrot (Eurocopter, Germany) and R. Adams, (University of Bristol, UK)
Topic will address: Damping of composite structures: passive and adaptive solutions (concepts of viscoelasticity, auxetic structures, nanomaterials, foam-filled honeycomb cores, piezoelectric fiber, tuned mass damper,) dynamic modeling, experimental characterisation
Key lectures: S. Rolet (EADS IW, France), A. Lhemery (CEA, France)
Topic will address: Default detection in the composite structures (waves in the composite structures, wave scattering).
Key lectures: J. Buffe (Thalès, France) and F. Scarpa (University of Bristol, UK )
Topic will address: Characterization issues, test issues of the composite structures (techniques of characterizations, material aspects, damping)
